Burlesque Zebra

Does it come as a shock to anyone who has ever heard of this girl that she decided to be a zebra for Halloween?
Originally, I bought a big wad of zebra-patterned fleece and a pajama pattern, thinking to make a costume that way, but she fell so in love with said wad of fleece that she won’t let me cut it up.
The compromise was her zebra heart-shape dress (formerly calf-length, now mini), a pair of zebra patterned tights we found on eBay (the old ones were too small), some fringe for the mane which I pinned to a french braid ponytail for maximum equine effect, and a small length of fleece cut from the whole to fashion a scarf, tail, and ears. She was most adamant, by the way, that the insides of the ears be pink, so I used pink glitter paint.

Wonderful! I won’t be able to fall asleep though because I will keep laughing. This outfit is as unique as only the cooperation between my very determined and stubborn granddaughter and my very creative (and equally stubborn) daughter can be. Love that blue-eyed zebra.
As for the Twitter, please get the sports car instead of the tatoo!

Re: Twitter
I had to look up Whoopie cushion. Huh? Did she learn that at school? As usual, laughing, laughing! I totally envy you for your little entertainment machine. She just keeps going and going and going. Can’t wait to see her again in about 2 weeks. Oh, I am looking forward to seeing you and Jim too, of course. But, you know, there’s priorities

Very cute! The great part is, you could wear this “costume” all throughout the year and not look foolish. Kudos!
